Chamsys has released version 1.9.8.3 with several updates to GDTF and MVR import handling, focused on more reliable fixture matching and fixture data interpretation. The changes improve channel assignment, physical dimension calculation, and default colour temperature behaviour for imported fixtures. Matching logic has also been refined to better handle manufacturer and mode-name variations.
GDTF Import
- Improved element and function number assignment - correct channels assigned to the fixture in the Group window.
- Better fixture width/height/depth calculation for better display in the Visualiser.
- CIE X/Y and CTC fixtures Locate DMX Values set to produce 6500K white.
- When directly importing a GDTF file, and matching to a ChamSys head, a best guess of manufacturer, fixture name and mode name is done. A further check is made on the mode channel count. Mode matches with different channel counts are not used.
MVR Import
- When guessing the head manufacturer from GDTF, allow for spelling variations. Improves chances of guessing the correct head.
- When importing a GDTF file from an MVR file, and matching to a ChamSys head, a best guess of manufacturer, fixture name and mode name is done. If the name matches are of a high enough level any difference in mode channel count are ignored.
